America's Newest Slave Class

A little known class of modern slaves are the adjunct faculty that work at America's universities and colleges. These highly qualified educators are hired by colleges at half the price of tenure-track faculty. Many of these modern slaves are totally dedicated to their students and the schools where they work. Some work part time and some work full time. Universities take advantage of this class of educator because they are often spouses of tenure track faculty. The philosophy of the administration seems to be, What are they going to do, move? Why isn't this new class of slaves with a large component being females a concern for modern activists like NOW?
